Scarce family group. Edward VII Long Service and Good Conduct
Medal to D.3958 W. Deasy, Seaman 1st Class, Royal Naval Reserve. The
War of Independence medal was awarded to James Deasy, brother of
Liam Deasy who wrote Towards Ireland Free, and is in its official box
of issue with Presidential compliment slip. Accompanied by William
Deasy’s Certificate of Discharge from the Royal Naval Reserve and
Detention Order 1924 for Liam Deasy. A scarce and interesting pair.
