1960, Jacqueline Kennedy’s maternity dress
A cream self-patterned sleevless dress, worn when she was pregnant
with her son John in 1960. The dress was given by Mrs Kennedy to John’s
English nanny Maud Shaw on a visit to London in 1965. Maud Shaw’s
account of receiving the dress is in the final chapter of her book: White
House Nannie: My Years with Caroline and John Kennedy, Jr.; together
with 79 photographs of Maud Shaw’s time with the Kennedys.
