19th Century Irish badge.
Design is an Irish ‘Mermaid’ harp with oak leaf surround on a gilt
starburst, struck in bronze. Made by Tove & Co., London. The second
example we have seen but research on its origin has proved fruitless so
far. Tove made medals and badges for military, sporting and masonic
organisations among others.
