This painting is titled ‘Swallewe’ which is the old English word for Swallow. It was shown as part of the artist’s first solo
exhibition in Dublin. After the Neptune Gallery ceased showing contemporary art in 1980 Gale began showing with the
Taylor Galleries who continue to represent him today. We are grateful to the artist for his kind assistance in cataloguing
this lot.
