Joachim von Ribbentrop autograph signature.

A British Army Soldier’s Service and Pay Book signed to

a blank page by SS-Obergruppenführer Ulrich Friedrich

Wilhelm Joachim von Ribbentrop, Foreign Minister

of Nazi Germany, 1938 - 1945. Following his capture

in Hamburg by a member of the Belgian SAS he was

handed over to Major Hartcliffe, Area Security Officer,

who seconded an officer and NCO to guard his prisoner.

One of these obtained Ribbentrop’s signature and later

obtained a letter of thanks from Major Hartcliffe. Framed

together with a photograph of Ribbentrop in SS uni-

form.
