Gerald HastingsWakeman (b. circa 1864)

Wakeman is listed on the 1901 and 1910 census with addresses in Clonturk, Drumcondra Rural” and later 8 David Road,

Whitworth Road, Drumcondra. He exhibited widely from the David Road address from 1904 with the Watercolour

Society of Ireland and Oireachtas (1907 and 1911). Landscapes in County Dublin dominate but other areas exhibited

included Belfast, Portrush, Southampton, Putney Heath and Hampshire. The 1901 census records his occupation as

“Draugtsman in the Registration of Titles Office, Chancory Divison, High Court of Justice Ireland” aged 34 years. He lived

at this juncture with his aunt Louisa Alethea Perrin, 70 years.”
