1914 (July 20) Padraig Pearse signed cheque.

A cheque for two pounds drawn on the Terenure branch of the Royal Bank of Ireland, payable to Patrick

Duggan, endorsed with his mark, witnessed by M.J. O’Malley, Rosmuc.

Padraig Pearse owned a small, traditional cottage near Rosmuc, overlooking the lakes and mountains of

Connemara, which he used as a summer residence and summer school for his pupils from St Enda’s, in

Dublin.

A two-page letter on Scoil Eanna notepaper, in a carer’s hand, to Mrs O’Neill accompanying a copy of The

Turf-Cutter’s Donkey Goes Visiting, by Patricia Lynch, inscribed in a shaky hand to the fly leaf in blue ball-

point “To Lorraine - from - Margaret M. Pearse - 16/9/68”; together with a photograph of Margaret Pearse on

her 90th birthday and memorial card for her. (4)
