1914-1918 Army Veterinary Corps officer’s blue cloth helmet.

An 1878 pattern officer’s home service Army Veterinary Corps helmet with fitted case made by Holt and Son,

20 Sackville Street, London. Mounted with a crowned star pattern helmet plate, the centre with silver “AVC”

monogram on a green enamel background. From the uniform of Captain Frederick J. Sheedy MBE HM, Fair Hill,

Cork.

Provenance: By descent to the present owner.

and medal group.

The Most Honourable Order of the Bath (CB), military,

with presentation certificate; 1914-15 Star; Great

War Medal; Victory Medal; George V and George VI

Coronation medals to Rear Admiral Henry Albert

Sheridan, Royal Navy; together with a silver napkin ring

engraved with the names and dates of Sheridan’s ships;

a portrait photograph, framed of rear Admiral Sheridan

in uniform; a Royal Navy commission signed by George

VI; a pair of ceremonial scissors and three photographs of

the launch, at Canadian Vickers Ltd. of patrol vessels. The

order of the Bath in Garrard case.
