1916 (April 24) Easter Monday Races at Fairyhouse, race card.

The race-card of the Ward Union Hunt Steeplechases, Fairyhouse on Easter Monday, 1916. The races were

attended by a large number of the British garrison and administration. Their absence from Dublin at the beginning

of the Rising facilitated the insurgents in establishing their strongholds around the city. A scarce and important
