A print of the ‘Éire Page’ signed in pencil by Art O’Murnaghan and dated 1944, framed.

This page, part of the unpublished Leabhar na hAisírghe (Book of the Resurrection), is believed to have

been printed by O’Murnaghan and sold in order to raise funds for his book project. The print consists of

Celtic filigree designs with insets of birds in volutes of initial E in Éire, overlaid on a list of Ireland’s names

and text shown through windows in the ornamental panels. Together with an illustrated manuscript

letter (27 June 1944) from O’Murnaghan to Michael Glanville, the original purchaser.

The ‘Book of Resurrection’ formed part of ‘The Easter Rising: Understanding 1916’ exhibition at the Na-

tional Museum, Collins Barracks, Dublin.
