(34.9 by 69.9cm) Exhibited: Kilkenny County Council Arts Office Gallery, 2007 Gypsy Ray was born in Illinois but has been living in Ireland since 1980 and permanently in Kilkenny since 2000. Drawing and photography have been constants in her studio practice. She has exhibited widely both in Ireland and Internationally. Her work is in many public and private collections including: David Kronn Photography Collection at IMMA; Butler Gallery Permanent Collection, Kilkenny; British Museum Wellcome Trust Gallery, London; Library of Congress Permanent Collections, Washing, DC. Ray taught third level photography for over twenty years in the United States for institutions such as the University of California Berkeley’s Extension Program San Francisco Centre, San Francisco City College and Cabrillo College. Ray has taught at the Ormonde College of Art Programme, the Kilkenny Women’s Art Project and Kilkenny Collective for Arts Talent/KCAT. €600-€800 (£550-£730 approx.)
