(102.2 by 64.1cm) Provenance: Helen Hooker O’Malley collection; Thence by family descent Published by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (later nationalised and incorpoated into British Railways). The LMS operated mail and passenger ships from England andWales to Ireland. Paul Henry’s modernist landscape paintings lent themselves to reproduction as posters; he was commissioned to produce several from 1925 onwards, and some of his designs were still in use in the 1950s.
