An archive relating to the killing of Nurse Margaret Kehoe by British soldiers at the South Dublin Union The archive includes letters to senior officers including General Maxwell, accusing the army of murdering Nurse Keogh in cold blood, a charge denied in letters from Major General Friend and Colonel Cowan, also witness statements and other documents relating to the shooting. Condition: A few slight faults, very good. Nurse Kehoe was from Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow, and was a niece of General Myles Keogh of the US 7th Cavalry, who died with General Custer at the Battle of Little Bighorn, in 1878. Together with a share certificate for the Irish American Advocate Company; also an undated letter on Oglaigh na hEireann notepaper, from Commandant Olaf Mac Neill, re the ‘Step Together’ campaign. circa 1939-45.
