To Charlie Phillips, thanking him for his gift and letter, he ends “Do not show my letter to anybody because it is so badly written.” Attractively framed with original Windsor Castle envelope. Printed on silk with ribbons and a gilt miniature frame containing a print of a portrait of Burns, attached also two green wax seals. Condition: Tissue paper lined silk laid down to a wood panel, two small holes, a few edge tears, slight staining , overall good for this.
