(11) 11 handwritten accounts on official County Meath Coroner’s printed sheets, including graphic descriptions of the battle, causes of death etc. A remarkable archive relating to the only victory for the Irish Volunteers in The Rising. Written in 1949 to Nora Ashe, sister of Thomas Ashe who commanded the Irish Volunteers at the battle., JP Quilty, who was a member of the IV attacking force, transcribes from memory despatches from Ashe to Mulcahy and from Connolly to Ashe, etc. Condition: Very good, few tone spots.
