Kevin Barry had just arrived at his family’s Dublin house, 8 Fleet Street, to start his first term at UCD. His mother was at the family farm in Tombeagh, Carlow. Barry mentions Mr McAleer, who is ill, his wife Mrs McAleer, whom Barry intends to visit in Bray, as well as “Uncle Pat”. He also says that classes at UCD “are not quite arranged yet owning to delay in results”. Single sheet, handwritten and signed “Kev.” 8 by 6.50in.
