In posted box of issue addressed to John Massey in Dún Laoghaire, with two Member of Association of Old Fianna badges inscribed to John Massey, one dated 1945. A rare example of a fully attributable War of Independence medal to a member of Fianna Éireann. Condition: Medal extremely fine/very fine, ribbon and box distressed, badges very fine and fair. Military Archive MD4000. John Massey served in the Dún Laoghaire Company, 6 Battalion, Dublin Brigade, under commanding officers Nicholas Kelly and J. J. O’Connor.
