(8.9 by 19.1cm) Condition: Fine, a few wrinkles, revenue stamp clipped by the bank on encashment. Made out for £1.3s.0., 5 October 1912, drawn on The Northern Banking Co., Ball’s Bridge, signed by John Daly on reverse. 3.50 by 7.50in. (8.9 by 19.1cm) Condition: Very fine, revenue stamp clipped by the bank on encashment. John Daly, was an Irish republican, and a leading member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood. He was uncle to Kathleen Clarke, wife of Tom Clarke who was executed for his part in the 1916 Rising and who was a leading member of the IRB, and her brother Ned Daly who was also executed in 1916.
