120 1948 General Election poster for Labour A black and white poster showing two housewives hanging out washing one woman with a white sheet tagged “New Zealand” saying to the woman with a grey sheet tagged “Eire”, “I have no dirty linen dear, I always use Labour!”. Published by the Labour Party, 21, Molesworth Street, Dublin. Rare 20 by 15in. (50.8 by 38.1cm) Condition: Very good. A reference to both the success of the Labour Party in New Zealand and that country’s support for Ireland declaring itself a Republic.
