Provenance: Mary White; Thence by descent to the present owner. During the 1916 Rising Irish Volunteers took over a cinema - The Athaeneum - in Enniscorthy. An emergency hospital and a kitchen were set up in the Athenaeum by Cumann na mBan under the command of Mary White and Una Brennan.
