The TT-30,[b] commonly known simply as the TT or Tokarev, is a semi-automatic pistol designed and produced in the Soviet Union. The TT was designed by Fedor Tokarev and served as the service pistol of the Soviet Armed Forces and Militsiya from 1931 to 1951. Estimate €500-€700 (approx £430-£610) Click here for more images and to bid on this lot 279 280 1941-1945 Japanese ‘Good Luck’ flag and thousand stitch belt The flag 28 by 32 inches, the belt 42 by 13.5 inches The Good Luck Flag (yosegaki hinomaru) was a traditional gift for Japanese servicemen deployed during the military campaigns of the Empire of Japan, most notably during World War II. The flag was typically a national flag signed by friends and family, often with short messages wishing the soldier victory, safety and good luck A senninbari (‘thousand person stitches’) or one thousand stitch is a belt or strip of cloth stitched 1000 times and given as a Shinto amulet by Japanese women to soldiers going away to war. Senninbari were decorated with 1000 knots or stitches, and each stitch was normally made by a different woman. Each end of the belt could feature strings, snaps or buttons that allowed it to be fastened around the waist; examples lacking these were often tucked into the waist. Other variations were never worn, but may have been folded and placed inside helmet liners, pockets or packs. 14 by 13.50in. (35.6 by 34.3cm) Condition: Very good.
