A Victorian Dunville’s Whisky Mirror

The bevelled glass acid etched with ‘Royal Irish Distilleries Belfast’ and

sprays of shamrock, the central reserve decorated with gilt and painted

lettering ‘Dunville’s - Whisky - Bottled in Bond - Awarded 25 Prize

Medals.’ centred by a gilt Royal Crown and ‘V. R.’ In reeded oak frame. See

also lots 47-54. 27½ x 35½in. (69 x 89cm)

Excellent. Damage to ‘E’ of Dunville’s and spotting to borders.

1890 Sheet of West Clare Railway stamps

A sheet of 24 two pence railway letter stamps, unused. The railways were

licensed to carry mail from station to station for a fee. If an additional

postage stamp was affixed the letter would be posted on arrival at a

particular station. This was a form of express mail.
