1937 Amelia Earhart signed photograph.

A black and white photograph of Earhart, signed in black fountain pen

and pasted to a letter dated 31 July 1937, sent by her husband, George

Palmer Putnam, to Carrie Jepson a clairvoyant, to assist in her search for

Earhart, whose plane had disappeared the previous July. Together with

Carrie Jepson’s scrap book of newspaper clippings and letters.

Circa 1930 to 1955. An extensive correspondence concerning the

McCormick family, Dalkey and Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

A fascinating correspondence, mainly from John McCormick to his

parents Mr and Mrs de Courcy McCormick at their house Bartra in

Dalkey and later Somerset in Blackrock. The correspondence starts from

school in England through study at Cambridge and then World War II in

which he served as a lieutenant, mainly in the Middle East, later service

in the British diplomatic corps including Indonesia and USA. Most of the

letters are in their original envelopes, with a variety of postal markings

including military censorship 1939-45. Interesting account of a young

man’s progress from the Dublin suburbs, through Oxbridge in the 1930s,

World War in the 1940s, and the diplomatic social and political rounds

in the 1950s. Includes a few photographs and picture postcards. (100s)

Hans Michael Frank (23 May 1900 – 16 October 1946) was a German lawyer who

worked for the Nazi party during the 1920s and 1930s, and later became Hitler’s

personal lawyer. After Hitler’s ascension to power in 1933, Frank became Nazi

Germany’s chief jurist and Governor-General of occupied Poland’s ‘General

Government’ territory. During his tenure (1939–1945), he instituted a reign of

terror against the civilian population, systematic plunder and brutal economic

exploitation and became directly involved in the mass murder of Polish citizens. At

the Nuremberg trials, he was found guilty of war crimes and crimes against

humanity and was executed.

signed by Oscar Traynor, Minister for Defence, and a Certificate for

Noone’s Service in the Slua Mhuirí, the Reserve Naval Service, signed by

Thomas F O’Higgins, Minister of Defence in the Inter-Party government

of 1948, and founder of the Army Comrades Association also known as
