1933 - 1945 Third Reich Germany,

A draper’s enamel sign declaring the shop to be licensed

to sell official Nazi uniforms. The convex rectangular

sign with white ground; black gothic text and eagle and

swastika badge within a red border.

Uncovered on a construction site in Berlin, an irregular

vertical strip of enamel missing from the centre of the

sign. Rust damage to areas of text and margins.
