1979 Padraig Pearse commemorative dish.

An Irish silver strawberry dish, engraved to the centre,

‘The fools, the fools, the fools - they have left us - our

Fenian dead - Padraic Mac Piarais - 1879-1979’, engraved

‘No.12’ to the base, hallmarked for Dublin, 1979, maker’s

mark for George Bellew, 15oz troy (468g).

1966, 1916 Rising commemorative sculpture, ‘The Dying

Cúchulainn’ after Oliver Sheppard.

A bronze sculpture of ‘The Dying Cúchulainn’ after

Oliver Sheppard. This example on a larger than usual

Connemara marble base. Reproduced under licence from

The Commissioner of Public Works. The large original

sculpture, which commemorates the 1916 Rising, is located

in the G.P.O., Dublin.
