1914-18 Hamburg Honour Cross and Hamburg Hanseatic Cross

(1) 1914-18 Hamburg Honour Cross (white enamel, gilt and silver).Vertical

pin and catch and maker marked ‘DEUTSCHES FELD-EHRENZEICHEN GES.

GESCH HAMBURG 3’. Retains almost all of the silver and gilt finish and all

the white enamel is intact. Very good condition. (2) Hamburg Hanseatic

Cross (silver and red enamel). Retains all of the original silver finish with

no enamel damage. Very good condition. (2)

A degree of loss of the original silver finish, all the enamel is intact and

on the original ribbon.

German Marine Korps Cross, Memorial Cross and Faithful Service Medal

(1) German Marine Korps ‘ Flanders ‘ Cross ( bronze). Retains all of the

original finish and on the original ribbon. Very good condition. (2)

Memorial Cross for Germany’s Honour in the East (silver, gilt and green

enamel). Maker marked to the lower arm of the cross “FLECK & SOHN

HAMBURG 3 GES GESH”. Retains all of the original gilt finish, silver is

toned and the enamel is intact. On the original ribbon. Very good

condition. (3) WW1 German Faithful Service Medal for 9 years’ Service

(silver). The original silver finish is toned and the medal is mounted on the

correct ribbon. Good condition. (3)

(1) 1900 China Campaign Medal (gilded bronze).This is the combatant’s

issue, retains most of the original gilt finish and is mounted on the

original ribbon. Good condition. (2) China Campaign Medal (For non-

combatants) silvered steel. Significant loss of the original silver finish with

some rusting. Used condition. (2)

Commemorative Medal

1904-06 South East Africa Campaign Medal (gilded bronze) (1) This is the

combatant’s issue with some loss of the original gilt finish and mounted

on the original ribbon. Good condition. (2) 1914-18 Kyffhauserbund

Commemorative Medal (gilt). Retains almost all of the original gilt finish.

Very good condition. (2)

Austria. Bravery, Red Cross and War Medals.

(1) Silver Bravery Medal. Retains almost all of the original silver finish

which is toned. Mounted on the original ribbon and with a crossed swords

device. Good condition. (2) Red Cross Silver Merit Medal (Silver with red

white and green enamel). Silver is toned, with all the enamel intact and

mounted on the original ribbon. Very good condition. (3) World War I

Commemorative Medal. Some loss of the original finish, mounted on the

correct ribbon. Used condition. (3)

Decoration and Crossed Swords. (Gilt with red, green and white

enamel).

Retains all of the original gilt finish and all of the enamel is intact.

Naval U-Boat Badge (Gilt).

A U-Boat within an oval laurel wreath surmounted by an Imperial crown.

A non-maker marked award with a horizontal pin and catch. Retains all of

the original gilt finish to the obverse which appears to have been

lacquered. The reverse with significant scratch marks. Used condition.

Army Wound Badges - Gold and Black Grades.

(1) Gold. This example is the cut-out type. With a vertical pin and catch

and retains almost all of the original gold finish. Good used condition. (2)

Black. This example with a vertical pin and catch, retains approximately

50% of the original black paint finish. Good used condition. (2)

Retains the vertical pin and catch and approximately 60-70% of the

original black paint finish. A good used example of a quite rare award.

Prussia. Other Ranks Belt Buckle (Brass and white metal).

This is a pre-war example of a two-piece construction brass and white

metal belt buckle bearing the motto “Gott Mit Uns”. Denting to the crown

area and signs of much wear. Well used condition.

Prussia. Other Ranks Brown Leather Belt and Buckle (Brass and white

metal).

This example was worn by Marine Infantry and Colonial Troops. A non-

maker marked two-piece construction belt buckle bearing the Imperial

crown and the motto “Gott Mit Uns”. The leather belt is stamped “H.

Clemin Elberfeld”. A quite rare belt and buckle in good used condition.

Bavaria. Belt Buckles.

Other Ranks Belt Buckle (Green Paint finish). This example is of one piece

steel construction, bearing the motto “In Treue Fest”. Retains

approximately 70% of the original green paint finish with some rusting.

Used condition. Reichwehr O/R’s Belt Buckle (Silver aluminium alloy). A

post war belt buckle of one piece construction worn during the Weimar

period. Silver matte finish aluminium alloy (pebbled) and bearing the

Eagle and motto “Gott Mit Uns”. Good used condition.

World War I mixed lot of German and Turkish items.

(1) Three Imperial German Badges and an Award stick-pin. Two of the

badges are possibly Red Cross related and the third naval related. All the

items have their pins, catches and enamel intact and retain most of their

original finish. All are in good used condition. (2) A Prussian Other Ranks

Pickelhaube Plate. Grey metal Ersatz type with two lugs to the reverse.

Retains almost all of its original grey paint finish. Good condition. (3)

Turkey. Other ranks Belt Buckle (Brass and white metal). This example is of

two-piece construction brass and white metal bearing the “Turkish Star”

and “Crescent Moon”. A well-used example. (5)
