A circular bronze token the obverse struck “Irish - Republic” with a
sailing ship between the initials ‘F’ & ‘B’, the reverse struck “Ireland-
1886 - America” with hands in friendship and a rising sun.

1898 (28 September) letter from a recently released Fenian prisoner,
Edward O’Brien Kennedy.
Letter, 3pp, to Thomas Kelly, turning down an invitation to reside in the
USA due the “Yankee Puritan” refusal to support him and notifying Kelly
of his impending arrival in Dublin, where he and other released
republican prisoners were paraded and feted by the IRB.

An Allen, Larkin & O’Brien Memorial Committee certificate, blank. 15 x
20in. (38.10 x 50.80cm)
A memorial to the three Fenians was proposed in the 1890s and completed in
1903. The three had taken part in an abortive attempt - in which a policeman was
killed - to rescue a prisoner in Manchester. They were hanged in November 1867.

Kavanagh
On House of Commons embossed paper. Born without arms or legs,
Arthur served as M.P. for fourteen years, travelled to Russia, India and
Persia on safari, was an expert horseman and shot and was a keen
yatchsman. This letter addressed to his land agent “Devine” commences
“I am in receipt of your letter, I feel quite sure you would not as you say
unjustly blame any one indeed if every one would act towards me as
you do I would have very little trouble”
