Originally intended by its producers to be a pilot for a series of Abbey
Theatre play film-adaptations that never followed, the film is notable
as an almost entirely Irish film, a rarity in the 1950s, its modest success
encouraging the establishment of Ardmore Studios in Bray, which exists
today as Ireland’s only four-wall studio. Directed by Henry Cass.
An unrestored British quad poster that displays signs of use. Very fine.
