1965 (14 September) Don Arden v Gene Vincent,
High Court Writ.
In 1965 Don Arden, Gene Vincent’s manager, sued Vincent in the High
Court for £488.13.10d damages pursuant to his non-appearance at
various engagements. Don Arden was well known for his aggressive,
sometimes illegal business tactics which led to his being called Mr
Big”, the “English Godfather” and the “Al Capone of Pop”. Gene Vincent
was his first rock n’ roll artist.”
