Portrait photographs, taken by the Davies and

Starr photographic agency and autograph signa-

tures collected at the 1987 Amnesty International

event, The Secret Policeman’s Third Ball. (See Lot

31 Notes)

1987 - The Secret Policeman’s Third Ball was the

first British Amnesty show to give equal weight to

rock and comedy acts. On the night, photographs

were taken of each of the acts. Their signatures

collected on a A2 sheet of art paper, this was then

reproduced with the photographs in a book pub-

lished about the event, Secret Policeman’s Third

Ball” by Terence Blacker.”
