Football 1950s Manchester United ‘Busby’s Babes’ autographs
An 60-leaf autograph book used only once to collect the signatures of players in a match between Manchester
United and Sunderland. Of the ten Manchester United players who signed the book, four, Roger Byrne, Eddie
Coleman, Mark Jones & Tommy Taylor, were killed in the 1958 Munich air crash. The other five who signed
were Ian Greaves, John Doherty, Ray Wood, Denis Violet & Walter Whitehurst. The reverse signed by nine
Sunderland players, Anderson, Fleming, Aitken, Purdon, Hedley, Chisholm, Hannigan.
