Thence by descent to the previous owner from whom gifted to the present owner;

In terms of composition, the present work bears similarity to A Lake in Connemara by Osborne, which

sold through Whyte’s on 19 September 2006 as lot 113. A Lake in Connemara was an unsigned example

by the artist which sold with the following provenance, the artist’s niece, Violet Stockley; Mrs S. Mallin; By

descent to the present owner.
