Morris Harding lived in Belfast where he shared a studio with Rosamond Praeger. He executed a large
number of works for churches throughout Ireland and exhibited at least fifty pieces at the RHA, Dublin
until 1953. Animals feature heavily within his oeuvre. A Polar Bear was shown at the RHA in 1953, no. 193.
