234 Shane Synnott (b.1977) UNTITLED, 1999 ink and watercolour signed and dated lower right 29.50 by 21.50in. (74.9 by 54.6cm) Synnott studied Fine Art in San Francisco School of Art and also in NCAD Dublin. He uses photographic source material and images of unfamiliar lighting conditions in his paintings. They draw inspiration from his travels on the West Coast of the United States and Barcelona and address the concept of isolation. His landscape works incorporate man-made structures, such as water towers and airport control towers and are painted in soft colours.
