Rivers With Texts From Christopher Smart. June 1956. Beautifully crafted publication printed on Irish
paper with texts set in Caslon type. Limited to 250 copies of which 200 were for sale; the first twenty-five
were retained for the author. This copy is annotated in pencil on edition’s page as ‘artist’s copy’. Contains
twenty-seven of River’s superb wood engravings. Hand-stitched at spine with decorated upper and titled
spine. This was the only edition published.
