Jean Meikle Osborne was a member in the late
1940s of the Euston Road School of painting that
pursued naturalism and sought to bring art to a
wider audience. it was here she met and married
fellow artist Dennis Henry Osborne (1919-2016).
They moved to Donegal first where the landscape
influenced their work, and then emigrated in 1952
to Canada, where Dennis met with some success.
They returned to Ireland in 1960. Jean died in 1965.
