1914-1918 Major General RO Kellett, Royal Fusiliers, uniform cap.
A general-officer’s visor cap, missing badge, named ‘R.O. Kellett’ to the head band.
Major-General R.O. Kellett, C.B., C.M.G. (d.1931) commanded 23rd Battalion Royal Fusiliers and the 99th
Infantry Brigade from 1915-1917. He is reputed to have ‘never lost a yard of trench’. The Kellet Line of
trenches was named after him. He died hunting
