A continental European cabasset, c .1600, the skull formed in one piece, with žpear stalkž finial, and row

of holes for rivets around the base, the narrow brim with turnover edge.

Mid-17th century pikeman’s armour.

A 17th Century English Pikeman’s breastplate and tassets, the neck aperture and arm apertures with

turned edges, the hinged tassets of five simulated lames with turned edges, incised linear and rivet

decoration. Of a type used in the Irish rebellions of the 1640s and English Civil War.
