Aghnahoe Infantry buttons.

A pair of white metal, domed buttons, the central reserve etched with the royal cypher of George III,

surrounded by ‘Aghnahoe - Infantry’.

An Aghnahoe Infantry officer’s red and blue uniform coatee, with similar buttons, dated c.1815, is in the

collection of the National Museums Northern Ireland.

Provenance

Purchased by the current owner at an auction at Aghnahoe House, Co Tyrone, 1971.
