Circa 50-60 million BC: Giant’s Causeway hexagonal basalt section
A basalt column section from the Giants Causeway, Co Antrim acquired from
Kennedy Quarries, Portrush in the vicinity of what is now land belonging to
the National Trust. The Giant’s Causeway is today owned and managed by the
National Trust and it is the most popular tourist attraction in Northern Ireland.
Examples of these stones in private collections are rare as the Causeway area
has been National Trust property for many years and it is illegal to remove
anything from the site. Extremely heavy - buyer must collect.

xv, 644. Profusely illustrated. Interesting association copy its previous owner
being Harry P. Swan renowned Donegal writer. He has signed the book and
inscribed his address in Buncrana Donegal in 1933 on front endpaper. 9 x 6in.

16th Century: Anti-Catholic Pope & Devil illusion coin pipe tamper
A small anti-Catholic cast coin or medal which has been altered for use as a
pipe tamper. The obverse showing the head of the Pope which when turned
shows the head of the devil, the reverse showing the head of a cardinal
coupled with head of jester.

A scarce Charles I Royalist Badge in silver-gilt. by Thomas Rawlins. Obverse
with crowned bust of Charles I facing right surrounded by “CAROLVS DG MAG
BRI FR ET HIB RX”. Reverse with bust of Henrietta Maria facing left surrounded
by “F, HENRETTA MARIA DG MAG BRITAN FRAN ET HIB REG” and signed below
