1916 Rising: Limited edition Robert Ballagh print ‘Birth of the Irish
Republic’
Limited to an edition of 300 of which this is number 6. Signed lower
right. Attractively framed. A colourful interpretation of Walter Paget’s
iconic painting. Produced by the National Graves Association in 2013 to
aid their fund for the refurbishment of the 1916 plot in the St. Paul’s
section of Glasnevin Cemetery. 28 x 25in. (71 x 64cm)

Jury
Dublin Fergus O’Connor 1917 fly-sheet. Issued by the nationalist
publisher Fergus O’Connor immediately after the death of Thomas Ashe
in Autumn 1917, possibly in time for his funeral, which was attended by
huge crowds. A scarce early issue of this inspiring nationalist poem,
which had not yet been given its now familiar title of “Let Me Carry

1917: Joseph McGuinness and W. T. Cosgrave election ephemera
A small paper badge produced by the Gaelic Press Dublin for the 1917
Kilkenny by-election with an image of W.T. Cosgrave and the words
“Vote for Cosgrave, A felon of our land!” Also with a handbill related to
the 1917 South-Longford by-election giving a transcript of a speech by
the Bishop of Limerick and urging electors of Longford to “Vote for the
man in jail for Ireland. Vote for McGuinness!” Two scarce pieces of
ephemera.
