1916 (June 27) Internment Notice

Issued to John O’Carroll, 24 Mount Temple Road, Dublin, An order has been made by the Secretary of State

under Regulation 14 B of the Defence of the Realm Regulations directing that he shall be interned at the

Place of Internment at Frongoch. The order is made on the grounds that he is of hostile associations and is

reasonably suspected of having favoured, promoted or assisted an armed insurrection against “His Majesty.”

Slight staining, mounted on board, very good. Rare.

hilly, Father Augustine and many others making this a veritable “Who’s Who” of the republican movement at

that time. Accompanied by a detailed index of the signatures. A very valuable reference collection of historic

signatures.
