1935-1955 Oglaigh na hEireann officer’s sword.

An Irish Army officer’s sword, the blade etched with a harp above celtic interlace motif surrounding the

badge of Oglaigh na hEireann set in a sunburst, on nickel plated hilt with Oglaigh na hEireann badge

and stamped ‘D.C.H’. In black-painted nickel scabbard with silver bullion knot. Of a type used by a

captain of infantry and by the Mounted Escort, or ‘Blue Hussars’. Very scarce with nickel hilt.

Estimate €1200-€1500 (approx £1020-£1275)
