HMS Albion
A fragment of a Union Jack with contemporary marking in ink “HMS
Albion Dardanelles 1916” Albion was later used as a blockship in
Queenstown (Cobh) Co. Cork. Framed. Also with a number of other items
which originated from the same collection. Including silver ‘Imperial
Service’ badge, bamboo leaves marked with Boer War locations and
dated 1900, African ebony carvings, a trench art bracelet, shell base

1966 : HMS Caroline oil on canvas painting
A framed oil on canvas painting of the C-class light cruiser HMS Caroline
which fought at the Battle of Jutland. Caroline is now located in
Alexandra Dock, Belfast after being decommissioned in 2011 giving a
total of 97 years service to the Royal Navy. This year the ship received a
Heritage Lottery Fund grant to be converted into a museum. Signed and
dated lower right ‘F.A. Foxon, 1966” 19 x 23in. (48.26 x 58.42cm)

1914-1918: Imperial German Feldmutze with original cockades
An German Army WW1 period Feldmutze or field cap with cockades for
the Bayern 1st and 2nd Ulan Regiment. With issue marks and 1916 date
stamp internally. Also with a British staff officers cap of the same period
with a Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Both acquired from a house in the Howth,
Co. Dublin and appear to have been part of a collection of war and
travel souvenirs collected by a member of the British armed forces
during the early part of the 20th Century (2 items)
