1913 (31 August) Dublin Metropolitan Police Proclamation banning
meeting at Sackville Street during the lockout.
An extremely scarce proclamation issued by E.G. Swifte, Chief Divisional
Magistrate, Dublin Metropolitan Police District on 29 August 1913 banning
a meeting at Sackville Street or its neighbourhood on 31 August 1913 due
to the fact that “.......such meeting or assemblage is seditious and that the
said meeting or assemblage would cause terror and alarm to, and
dissension between, his Majesty’s subjects, and would be an unlawful

1913: Lockout National Seamen’s and Firemen’s Union membership
cards
A pair of National Seamen's and Firemen's Union membership booklets
issued to Richard Dunne of Monks Place, Dublin who joined in July 1913.
The first books with payment stamps from 1913 to 1916 and interestingly
with no stamps for the weeks from 15 September to 3 November 1913 and
overwritten "8 weeks allowed Lockout". The second booklet covering 1916
to 1920. Also with a British Mercantile Marine Identity Service Certificate
for Richard Dunne with photograph, two Workers Union of Ireland
membership cards, Irish National Health Insurance cards for Richard Dunne
Senior and Junior and letter from James Larkin T.D. of the Worker's Union
of Ireland addressed to the wife of George Dunne following the death of
her husband. (8 items)
