illustrated. One of Ireland’s notorious Industrial schools, recently under
critical investigation by the Government and the media. A rare item,
extolling the virtues of the institution, profusely illustrated, aimed at
potential benefactors of the school.

1910: ‘The Harrington Family Fund’ printed circular letter with list of
subscribers
A printed circular letter from the committee of The Harrington Family
Fund sent from the Mansion House, Dublin. The fund was set up in March
1910 following the death of Timothy Harrington an Irish journalist,
barrister and Member of Parliament with the Irish Parliamentary Party.
The aim of the fund was to assist in “...the maintenance of his family and
particularly the education of his children...” With a list of subscribers on
the reverse with approximately 120 named.
