sought-after auction catalogue; a superb production, with prices realised
and some other related letters from the auction house. The auction of
dresses donated by the princess raised over $3 million for charity.

1957 (11 November) Edentubber Sinn Féin memorial poster
A small memorial colour memorial poster produced in memory of those
killed in the Edentubber explosion in 1957. On Monday 11 November
1957, five republicans were killed in an explosion which demolished a
small cottage at the foot of Edentubber Mountain in County Louth. Four
Thompson sub-machine guns and ammunition were found among the
wreckage. The Newry Frontier Sentinel reported: “The finding of a
machine gun strapped to a bicycle led to the belief that the men were
starting out on an expedition when a land mine they were handling
exploded.” The five men killed in the explosion were Michael Watters,
Patrick Parle, Paul Smith, George Keegan and Oliver Craven.

together. Also with Roger Casement 1965 commemorative print, Wolfe
Tone commemorative print and 1916 Rising proclamation and leaders

A heart shaped piece of barbed wire within which there is a map of
Ireland with the tricolour on it to symbolise one republic inscribed “Éire
Nua 1974”. Signed by 40 republican prisoners including Provisional IRA
Chief of Staff, Joe Cahill who died in 2004; Peter Anderson who became a
Sinn Féin Councillor; Liam McElhinney & numerous others.

Ruairí Ó Brádaigh signed replica Proclamation
Collection of various Republican political posters, handbills and notices
including many anti-EEC examples and replica 1916 Proclamation signed
by Ruairí Ó Brádaigh. Ruairí Ó Brádaigh (1932–2013) was Chief of Staff
of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) from 1958 to 1959 and again from
1960 to 1962, president of Sinn Féin from 1970 to 1983, and president of
Republican Sinn Féin from 1987 to 2009.
