Commission of the Peace to David Turner
I.O.F. medal or jewel inscribed on the reverse “Presented to Bro. David
Turner P.C.R. by the members of Court Ardilaun No. 2273 January
1912”.In original case by Sydney Hanna, Belfast. Also with a 1919
indenture appointing the same David Turner of 40 Great Brunswick
Street Dublin as a justice of the peace, complete with wax seal. (2 items)

A collection of 3 framed colourful outfitters posters produced by Petty &
Sons as samples. Complete with a letter from the Leeds based firm
addressed to Connolly Drapers, Strokestown enclosing the samples dated
3 April 1924.

1924 (18 January) Irish interest Royal Doulton stoneware Masonic jug
Marked with the words “Lodge of Peace & Harmony No. 3229, T. L. Green
W. M. Jan 18th 1924” and decorated with symbolism including a Maid of
Erin. Stamped on the underside with Royal Doulton mark and the
number 2000. An interesting piece worthy of further research. 4.50 x
4in. (11.43 x 10.16cm)

1925 (4 June) Irish Freemasonry bicentenary commemorative medal
Hallmarked silver. 1725-1925 medal celebrating the bicentenary of
Freemasonry in Ireland. Obverse with the armorial crest of the Grand
Lodge of Freemasons in Ireland, reverse with the arms of the Earl of
Donoughmore, grand master from 1913 to 1948. With Irish hallmark for
1924 and maker’s mark of Langley Archer West.

unidentified but talented photographer. Comprising of two albums and a
number of larger loose photographs. The first album with 19
photographs showing Achill in 1937, the second with 21 photographs of
Donegal in 1938. The majority of locations and scenes identified.

reverse indicating their exhibition in competitions. Includes Ballyshannon

20th Century: Collection of watercolours showing Danesmoate House,
Rathfarnham, Co. Dublin.
A collection of 6 watercolours by M. A. Purvis depicting interior views of
the swimming pool, kitchen, sitting room (2 views), exterior views, a
front and rear elevation. All mounted, captioned and signed by the
artist/architect. This house today is the residence of Adam Clayton bass
guitarist with U2. (Average size given below) 6 x 8in. (15.24 x 20.32cm)

Dublin Working Girls Drilling Association medals.
With harp motif, dated banner, in silver 1942 and bronze 1937. Also a
Feis Maitiu (Fr. Matthew Music and Dancing Competition). Ladies’
Physical Culture and Girls Drilling clubs were widespread in Ireland and
Britain in the 1920s to 1950s and were promoted as a healthy
pastime.(3)

1923-27: Irish Free State Army electoral registration forms
A remarkable collection of 101 early Irish Army single sheet signed
electoral registration statements given under the 1923 Electoral Act.
Each sheet with an individual record filled by the soldier in question and
giving their name, unit, barracks, army number, age and/or date of birth,
home address and counter signature of an officer. Mostly relating to
men from Carlow but some other counties recorded.
